There's not enough action from the government when it comes to dealing with the homelessness crisis, according to a number of charities.
The latest figures show the price of rent has risen by 12.4 per cent in the past year.
The average cost of a home is now 1,300 euro a month in Kildare and more than 1,900 euro in Dublin.
The Kildare figure is 83% higher than the lowest level.
