It seems that a public drinking water station pilot scheme in Kildare could be funded under the auspices of Climate Action.
Labour Athy Cllr., Mark Wall, proposed that Kildare County Council consider installing "drinking water stations throughout the town of Athy."
In response, the Parks Section said it had no objection to such a project, but had to budget to advance it.
The Water Services Dept says it would "be pleased to assist with this initiative, and this should be considered as a pilot. There is a €50,000 seed fund available in for Climate Action initiatives and perhaps the costs could be defrayed from this.
