Former Kildare TD and sitting Senator, Anthony Lawlor, has been selected by Fine Gael to contest the General Election in Kildare North.
He will run alongside sitting Deputy in the constituency, Bernard Durkan.
Mr. Lawlor was first elected to the Dáil in 2011; but did not retain his seat at the 2016 General Election.
He was elected to the Seanad's Agricultural Panel during a bye-election in April.
