The Irish Eventing team made history in North Carolina yesterday.

Cathal Daniels, Sarah Ennis, Sam Watson and Padraig McCarthy claimed Ireland's first team medal at the World Equestrian Games, when they won a silver.

They also secured qualification for the 2020 Toyko Olympics.

Tipp native Padraig McCarthy also won an individual silver; and, that was Ireland's first individual medal at the Games since 1978.
