Denis Naughten's conversation with a representative of Independent News and Media represents a return to 'the old boys club' of the past, according to Sinn Féin.
The Minister was criticised in the Dáil for allegedly telling a lobbyist for INM that their bid to takeover the Celtic Media Group would be referred to the BAI for scrutiny.
This happened two months before the news became public, which some claim gave INM a competitive advantage.
Sinn Féin's Pearse Doherty says it's an example of the Minister 'cosying up' to a media group.
