School principal, Anita Mhic Gib, is to contest the General Election in Kildare South for Aontú.
From Kilcullen, she has been the of Principal of Gaelscoil Nás an Ríogh for the last 18 years.
In a statement issued this morning, she says "I believe that this area and this country is being mismanaged so badly, that I just have to stand up and try and be a voice for people who feel totally disenfranchised "
Kildare South is newly expanded to a four seat constituency; however, only three of those seats are being contested at the General Election.
This is as Kildare South Fianna Fâil TD, Sean O'Fearghail, was Ceann Comahirle of the 32nd Dáil, and is automatically returned to the 33rd Dáil.
