Kildare County Council is issuing a warning to General Election candidates, after reports that some posters have been "erected at almost ground level "
KCC says this is causing obstructions on footpaths.
Furthermore, it has also received reports "regarding placement of posters obstructing visibility at roundabouts and road junctions."
People involved in the erection of posters should have due regard to accessibility and road safety.
It is reminding campaign teams that all posters must be removed 7 days after the close of poll, February 15th.
Those that remain are subject to an on-the-spot fine of €150.
