Talks to save 72 jobs at Bord Na Mona's Longford plant are at a standstill.
Unions representing workers there say discussions seeking alternative arrangements for the staff have failed.
Bord na Mona, whose headquarters are in Newbridge, already laid off 78 seasonal workers at Mountdillon.
SIPTU sector organiser, Willie Noone says they won't back down in their fight for the workers.
