The FAI are to investigate a motivational video played by Republic of Ireland manager Stephen Kenny to his squad before the friendly match against England.
The video is believed to have included a reference to the 1916 Easter rising and footage of the win over England in 1988 and the Lansdowne Road riot of 1995.
Some disquiet from a non playing member of staff over the content is reported to have been raised with FAI administrators.
The Extra.ie FAI Cup quarter-finals resume this evening.
First up is the meeting of Finn Harps and league champions Shamrock Rovers in Ballybofey from 5.30.
Then at 7.45, Bohemians and Dundalk go head to head at Dalymount Park.

The Kildare hurlers are continuing their preparations for Sunday's Christy Ring Cup Final against Down in Croke Park.
The game throws-in at 4pm and Kfm will have full commentary with Ger McNally and former Kildare star, Mark Moloney, in association with Hanlon Concrete Products, Robertstown
Kildare have already secured promotion to the Joe McDonagh Cup for next year.
