
Coastal flooding caused by climate change is predicted to impact more than 70,000 Irish homes and businesses by 2050, at a cost of two billion euro.
The analysis, by data and mapping experts Gamma Location Intelligence, is based on the predicted two degree rise in temperature.
It notes counties Louth, Dublin and Clare will be particularly affected, with all three accounting for 88 percent of damaged properties.
