Thurs am Update: 5 Changes for Ireland Rugby vs Oz; Kildare Minor Hurlers Win; U20 Football Team; 3 World Cup Games Today

Sean Cronin and Bundee Aki have been recalled to the Irish Rugby team to play Australia in Sydney on Saturday.

Joe Schmidt has made five changes to his team for the Summer Series decider.

Aki returns to the centre following an injury to Garry Ringrose.

Flanker Dan Leavy also misses the game due to a chest problem.

Jack Conan and Jack McGrath come into the pack, while Jacob Stockdale is restored to the wing.

 

At the World Cup today, Argentina will look to kick start their campaign by beating Croatia in Group D this evening.

The Group C game between Denmark and Australia kicks off at 1 o’clock.

That will be following by France and Peru at 4pm.

 

Bernard Brogan is back training with Dublin, less than six months after suffering a knee ligament injury.

The 34-year-old suffered an anterior cruciate injury in training inFebruary.

 

Kildare minor hurlers are into the Leinster championship Shield final.

Last night, they beat Carlow by 1-18 to 10 points.

Kildare’s top scorers were Michael McGovern with 1-2 and dual player Muiris Curtin with 5 points from frees.

 

The minor footballers Round 4 Leinster fixture against Laois has been confirmed for next Wednesday evening in St. Conleth’s Park at 7.30pm

Meanwhile, the county’s senior, junior and U20 teams, along with the senior hurlers are all in championship action this weekend.

Galway are through to their first ever Leinster Under-21 Hurling Final after beating Kilkenny by 3-13 to 1-17 in Tullamore last night.

They will play Wexford who beat Dublin 3-15 to 3-12 at Parnell Park.

Cork beat Waterford in the Munster semi final.

Tipperary and Limerick contest the other semi final in Semple Stadium this evening.

Aidan O'Brien trains the favourite 'Order of St. George' in the feature race on day 3 of Royal Ascot, the Gold Cup.

There is also a seven-race card at Leopardstown this evening with the first off at 6.00.
