: 05/22/2019 - 17:27

The Ireland squad is this week in Portugal for a training camp.

Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers is with the group.

The Maynooth native 20-year-old is one of a host of young talented goalkeeper and is currently ahead of Caoimhin Kelleher, Gavin Bazunu and Kieran O'Hara in the international pecking order.

Chris Hughton has revealed he was "hugely disappointed and surprised" to be sacked by Brighton.

Hughton guided the Seagulls to promotion to the Premier League in 2017, but was sacked after their final game of a season in which they finished 17th, two points ahead of third-bottom Cardiff.

In a statement, the League Managers Association say Hughton had been an inspiration for helping turn Brighton's fortunes around during his time at the club.

The decision follows a lengthy investigation into AIBA's governance.

The IOC say that boxing will keep its place in the Tokyo 2020 programme, with an alternative organisation to be set-up to run the competition.
