The IRFU stands to lose up to 20-million euro if this season’s Six Nations is not completed and the autumn internationals cancelled.
CEO Philip Browne has been giving an update on the association’s standing amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
He says even if autumn games are behind closed doors, they’ll lose between 10 and 15 million.
A cancelled 2021 Six Nations could cost the IRFU 30-million euro.
However, there is light at the end of the tunnel with an inter-pro series pencilled in behind closed doors at the Aviva on August 22nd and 23rd.
