A status yellow wind alert is in place for the rest Kildare, and Ireland, until 6pm this evening.
While up to 25 millimeters of rain has already fallen in Cork since last night.
It's one of four counties in the south under a status orange weather warning along with Kerry, Tipperary and Waterford.
