Audio: Newbridge Family Wants To Make Contact With Woman Who Helped Save 8 Week Old Infant From Drowning.

: 09/23/2016 - 10:36

A Newbridge family is seeking a woman who, heroically, helped to save their infant daughter from downing, so they can extend their heartfelt thanks to her.

On Monday evening, Kelly Butler brought her 8 week old daughter, her 2 and a half year old son  and her four year daughter to the town's Linear Park.

When the family were returning to the car, Ms. Butler paused to tend to her four year old, and the buggy slipped down the adjacent embankment and in to the River Liffey.

Mrs. Butler sprang immediately in to action and entered the river; a woman heard her screams and helped Mrs. Butler to bring her infant daughter to safety.

This good Samaritan also helped Mrs. Butler tend to her other children, who were terrified by the incident.

Mrs. Butler and her baby weren't physically harmed

Annabelle's father, John Butler, spoke to Shane Beatty on this morning's edition of Kildare Today, and they want to make contact with this woman, to whom he says they are indebted.
