There are fears that 100,000 people could be made redundant before Christmas.
That's as a result of a combination of factors including the effect of social distancing requirements on certain sectors, consumer's reluctance to spend and the sliding decrease in the Wage Subsidy Scheme.
Solictor, Richard Grogan, speaking to Kfm, says tens of thousands more redundancies are looming.
