Listen: Repak Says Irish Firms Bearing The Package Recycling Costs Of Overseas Online Retailers.

Irish companies will have to pay the recycling costs of waste packaging from overseas online retailers, according to Repak.

It's calling on overseas online producers to join the likes of Amazon and ASOS in paying for the recycling of packaging that comes into Ireland.

There is no legal obligation for overseas online retailers to do so, with costs set to reach 1 million euro this year.

Repak chief executive Seamus Clancy says it's unfair on Irish businesses to have to foot all of the bill
