275 people in Kildare have reported incidents of domestic abuse to Gardai this year.
207 are women, and 68 are men,
Nationally, almost 7,300 individual people have been the victims of domestic abuse so far this year.
78 per cent are women and 22 per cent are men.
The figure for all of 2020 is on course to be at least 6 per cent higher than last year.
Sarah Benson, the chief executive of Women's Aid, says her service has seen a greater increase in demand.
