A 27-year old man is due to go on trial this morning accused of the murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe.
He was killed in the line of duty outside Lordship Credit Union in Bellurgan, Co. Louth, seven years ago.
Aaron Brady from New Road, Crossmaglen, Co. Armagh has pleaded NOT guilty to capital murder and robbery.
The trial, which will take place in front of an enlarged jury, is expected to last 16 weeks.
