The Chief Medical Officer says a 'worrying trend' of new clusters of Covid-19 is developing in Ireland.
No new deaths linked to the virus have been reported to public health doctors today.
But 24 people have tested positive in the Republic, including 3 in Co. KIldare.
It brings the national total to 24,462.
In all, 1,481 people in Kildare have been diagnosed with Covid 19 since testing began.
The pandemic death toll remains 1,735.
New clusters of infection have emerged, and case numbers are rising.
Dr Tony Holohan gave more information in the past few minutes.
