There's been an increase in drug testings of race horses in Ireland.
That’s according to the 2019 figures released today by the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board, which is headquartered on the Curragh.
In total, 381 riders were tested across 34 race meetings and eight Point to Point meetings an increase of 127.
2 tested positive compared to 5 in 2018.
There was also an increase in the number of samples taken from horses in 2019 with a decrease in the number of positive tests - 13 down from the 2018 tally of 27.
