Listen: Irish Air Corps Has Dropped Over 180,000 Litres Of Water On Kildare Fire.

The Air Corps has dropped around 180,000 litres of water on wildfires in north Kildare in the last day.

The 3 Ops Wing crews are flying AW139 helicopters, capable of carrying a payload of over 2 tonnes in a bambi basket

Water is being dropped on a bog and forest fire, burning for several days, near Hortland and the Bog of Allen

An explosives factory was threatened at one point, but local firefighters and forestry workers have managed keep the fires away.
