Aer Lingus May Have To Look At Compulsory Redundancies.

Aer Lingus says it may have to look at compulsory redundancies as part of plans to cut almost 500 jobs.

The airline is blaming the impact of what it calls the "most restrictive travel policies in Europe" on the Irish aviation sector.

350 roles could go at Cork and Shannon, as the airline considers closing its bases there.

Thomas McHugh from Cork Chamber of Commerce says that would be a big blow:
