Only four countries in the European Union have lower Covid-19 14-day incidence rates, than Ireland.
The Republic is the fifth best of the 27 nations, behind Malta, Portugal, Finland and Romania.
That's according to new data from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control.
The World Health Organisation's, Dr. David Nabarro, believes social-distancing and mask-wearing will continue for some time:
