Just under 28,000 more people have tested positive for coronavirus in the UK.

Daily case numbers have been steadily rising over the last month.

But deaths remain relatively low - 22 were recorded in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 44-point-8 million people have had a first dose of a vaccine, while around 33-million have had both jabs.
