Biden Agrees "In Principle" To Summit With Putin

US President Joe Biden has agreed "in principle" to hold a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss the crisis over Ukraine.

But the White House says the talks will only happen if Russia doesn't invade its neighbour.

The Kremlin says there are no "concrete" plans yet.

General Lord Dannatt - the former head of the British Army - says Vladimir Putin's in a strong position at the moment:

The Foreign Affairs Minister says the European Union must focus on preventing war in Ukraine, not preparing for its response.

Simon Coveney is in Brussels today, to discuss moves that could de-escalate tension in Eastern Europe.

The US Government has advised its citizens in Moscow to have an evacuation plan, as it warns Russia is preparing for a "full scale assault."
