Investigative unit set up in January this year, following the rape & murder of Sarah Everard
The British Metropolitan Police is investigating over 600 sexual and domestic abuse allegations against its own staff.
A specialist unit was set up in January after high-profile cases including the rape and murder of Sarah Everard by a then serving officer, Wayne Couzens.
The force is examining claims ranging from "inappropriate behaviour" to criminal offences.
On the 3rd March last year, Couzens kidnapped Ms. Everard, as she walked home in south London.
He is serving a whole life sentence for Ms. Everard's rape & murder.
