Tension over post-Brexit arrangements
France has seized a British trawler in an escalation of a row over fishing rights after Brexit.
Downing Street says the British Prime Minister stands "ready to respond" in the row.
UK ministers say they are "urgently" investigating.
The company which owns the scallop vessel says its activity was "entirely legal".
Another boat was verbally warned, following claims neither had the right clearance to be there.
The vessels were fishing off the coast of Normandy, when one of the captains was told they risked legal action and confiscation of their catch.

Paris has already warned it will block UK vessels from ports, if an argument regarding fishing licenses in British waters is not resolved by next week.
