Conservatorship in place since 2008
A highly-awaited court ruling could see Britney Spears' father being removed from the conservatorship that's controlled her life since 2008.
Jamie Spears took on the role after the singer suffered a mental health breakdown, 13 years ago.
Judge Brenda Penny will decide later today, as to whether 69 year-old Spears, must now step down.
If that is the ruling, the singer's legal team has suggested her 69 year-old father, will need to assist his successor.
A successor is likely to be a specialist firm.
Although it is unclear whether someone could be brought in to replace him.
