Hearing date remains 29th September
Britney Spears has had a request denied, by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge, Brenda Penny, to bring forward an emergency hearing regarding her controversial conservatorship.
In the petition, the pop star's newly appointed lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, noted “Every day that passes is another day of avoidable harm and prejudice to Ms. Spears and the Estate”.
On 23rd June, Ms. Spears appeared by video-link in court & asked a judge to end the conservatorship that has controlled her life and finances since 2008.
The 39 year-old said she feels "exploited" & treated like a slave, adding that she does not have access to a passport or any money, and has been administering drugs, such as lithium.
The mother of 2 also has a contraceptive device, IUD inserted, and cannot remove it without the permission of her conservators.
In July, her mother, Lynne, said the pop star has had the capability to look after herself for years.
He stepped down from overseeing Britney's person in 2019, citing ill health, he has been temporarily replaced by court-appointed professional Jodi Montgomery.
After the request was denied yesterday, Britney post this on Instagram, saying she will no longer be posting on social media as frequently:
"Geez look at that flag 🙊🤯🥺 !!!! I was like “My flag up over the American Flag !?!?” … Yes … I’m tooting my own horn 📯 .. is that bad ????? I know in my previous post I said you guys know my situation but LET ME CLARIFY ... you only know half of it !!!! And for a lot of you who say I should be cautious with what I post … I mean if you REALLY THINK ABOUT IT … with what I’ve been through I believe I been WAAAY TOO CAUTIOUS !!!! The hearing date for Mr. Spears potential suspension remains 29th September.
