Jamie Spears has been conservator of her estate since 2008
The legal team representing Britney Spears have told her father she will "not be extorted".
It's alleged the singer's father, Jamie, is trying to get around $2 million, before he steps down from his daughter's conservatorship.
The singer's lawyer, Mathew S. Rosengart, has demanded Jamie Spears stand down from the role, as soon as possible.
Mr. Spears has overseen Britney's multimillion-dollar estate since 2008.
In August, Jamie agreed to step down as conservator, saying he does not want a "public battle" with his daughter.
In a court filing, lawyers for Mr. Spears noted there are "no actual grounds" for his suspension or removal.
39 year-old Britney has previously described the legal arrangement, controlling her affairs, as humiliating and abusive.
Mr. Spears says he's been the target of "unjustified attacks" but is preparing for an "orderly transition".
The 69 year-old has previously said he saved his daughter from financial ruin.
In June, the superstar told a court, she feels "exploited" & treated like a slave, adding that she does not have access to a passport or any money, and has been administering drugs, such as lithium.
The mother of 2 also has a contraceptive device, IUD inserted, and cannot remove it without the permission of her conservators.
