Relating to a request filed in November 2020
Britney Spears has had a request to remove her conservatorship denied, by a court in LA.
The singer had requested control of her affairs, as she fears her father - who has controlled her life since 2008.
Last week, the 39 year-old delivered dramatic testimony, noting she was not allowed to remove a contraceptive device from her own body.
The singer said her father, Jamie Spears, controls many of her personal and financial decisions, and described it as "abusive".
Her father claims Britney is vulnerable to fraud, and he saved her from financial ruin.
The Californian court's decision however is not in response to that testimony, and instead relates to a previous request filed last November.
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge denied on Wednesday a motion to remove Britney Spears' father from his role as a conservator of his daughter's $60 million estate https://t.co/evd7GpElGI

Elsewhere, Brintey's younger sister Jamie-Lynn Britney Spears' sister has responded to criticism from fans that she hasn't been supportive enough.
The 30 year-old posted a video on Instagram, saying she has kept quiet about the star's conservatorship because it wasn't her place to speak publicly.
She added her love & support of her sibling in private.
