App's launch day coincides with President's Day
Donald Trump's social media app launches today, a year after he was banned from mainstream platforms.
'Truth Social', which allows users to post and share a "truth" as they would a tweet, is available on Apple's App Store from today.
The platform was set up after the former US President was banned from Twitter, Facebook and YouTube for inciting violence during the US Capitol attacks, on 6th January 2021.
The launch of the app comes on the third Monday of February, also known in the United States as President's Day.
It is a federal holiday in the US, commemorating former & the current Commander in Chief.
