New research suggests dementia has been the leading cause of death for women in the UK, for over 10 years.

Alzheimer’s Research UK now wants the British government to deliver on its promise to double research funding into the condition.

The charity says ministers could use their upcoming legislation on Women’s Health, and its Dementia Strategy to help.
