Frances Haugen to be asked to speak in the Spring
The Oireachtas Media Committee is set to invite Facebook Whistleblower Frances Haugen to speak in the Spring.
Fianna Fail Senator Malcolm Byrne made the call after Ms. Haugen made explosive claims about Facebook at the US and the UK parliaments.
She told members of Congress in America, and members of Parliament in Britain that the company is 'making hate worse,' something it's always denied.
It comes as the report for the upcoming Online Safety and Media Regulation Bill is due to be published this week.
