According to the Irish Independent, health authorities have been notified of nine cases of myocarditis and pedricarditis after people recieved their vaccines.
But European and UK health agencies say the benefits of getting the jab still outweigh the risks.
Meanwhile the government has ordered millions of Pfizer vaccine doses in case a booster jab against Covid 19 is necessary.
It comes as the drug manufacturer applied to US authorities to make booster shots available.
