Lamara Bell remained alive for 3 days

Police Scotland have admitted their failings "materially contributed" to the death of a young mother, who lay undiscovered after a motorway crash.

The body has been fined £100,000.

It took officers 3 days to respond to a report of a car crashing off the M9 near Stirling, in 2015.

Police found Lamara Bell injured.

The 25 year-old had suffered a brain injury, broken limb & severe dehydration.

She died four days later in hospital.

The High Court in Edinburgh was told the mother of 2, would probably have survived if she had been found sooner.

Her partner, John Yuill, passed away at the scene.
