Geronimo tested positive for bovine tuberculosis

Downing Street has refused to U-turn on the British Government's decision to euthanise an alpaca, as a protest takes place in Westminster.

Geronimo, the alpaca, has twice tested positive for bovine tuberculosis.

His owner, Helen Macdonald, claims the test was flawed.

Ms. Macdonald is losing her final appeal for him to be saved.

More than 100,000 people have signed a petition to save Geronimo.

A spokesperson for the British Environmental Secretary, George Eustice, insists the he has looked at the matter "extremely carefully and interrogated all the evidence".

The British Prime Minister's father, Stanley Johnson, has joined the campaign to save the alpaca.

The former MP is urging his son to overturn the decision, his article can be read here.
