21 million less than previous years

This weekend is a bank holiday in Britain, and pubs are set to serve to serve 42 million pints over the bank holiday weekend, which is 21 million fewer than average.

The British Beer and Pub Association says removing all Covid-19 restrictions in June, is essential to the sector's survival.

Although the trade association is pleased with the reopening of the hospitality sector, it says the current restrictions are still significantly reducing the number of customers they can host.
