3,000 people evacuated from the city
Ukraine's Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov says Russia is committing genocide against Mariupol:
Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister has made a new appeal to Russia to allow humanitarian supplies into the besieged city and to let civilians leave.
It's believed 300,000 people are without water there.
An additional 8,000 people have been evacuated from cities in Ukraine targetted by Russian forces.
That number includes approximately 3,000 people from Mariupol, which has been heavily bombarded.
