Militants are now believed to have over 60% control of the country

US intelligence suggests the Afghan capital of Kabul could fall to the Taliban within 90 days.

The group have taken control of a 10th province in the country.

The Pentagon notes "no potential outcome is inevitable" and that it can still save itself.

US President Joe Biden has said he does not regret the decision to pull forces out of the country.

It's claimed the Taliban now control two-thirds of the country, and they're closing in on Helmand province, where Viktor Urosevic works at an emergency NGO hospital:

A former member of the Afghan government says the US has made a mistake in withdrawing troops from the country.

Habiba Sarabi is an ex-minister for women's affairs in Kabul.

She says the militant group's advance is a worrying development:

Elsewhere, Germany and the Netherlands are suspending the deportation of migrants to Afghanistan "for the time being".
