Ukraine's President does not believe Russia will scale down military operations

Ukraine's President says the country is preparing to face "new strikes" from Russian forces in the eastern Donbas region.

Volodymyr Zelensky says he does not believe Russia’s statement that it would scale down military operations around the capital, Kyiv.

Peace talks between the two sides are due to resume tomorrow.
