The clinics will open on Friday & Saturday.
Two walk-in Covid 19 vaccination clinics will take place at Punchestown this week
The first, on Friday, will operate between 12pm and 5 O'clock.
The second will take place on Saturday between 10 O'clock and 5pm.
Anyone aged 12 or over may attend, to receive Pfizer dose 1 or dose 2.
There must be a minimum of 18 days between provision of Doses 1 and 2
Alice Harding, Clinical Lead, Punchestown Vaccination Centre, says This is a great opportunity for everyone who has not yet come forward for a vaccine. The spread of the COVID-19 Delta variant demonstrates that the virus remains a serious threat. Vaccination is key for the protection of you, your family members and the wider community. It is essential on our pathway back to normality and here at the Punchestown Vaccination Centre we want to make it as easy as possible for people to access their Covid-19 vaccination.”
The HSE notes:
Who can attend
· If a child if aged 12-15, you can get your COVID-19 vaccine at a walk in clinic. Children must be accompanied by a parent / legal guardian.
· If you are aged 16 or older, you can get your COVID-19 vaccine at a walk in clinic.
· You do not need an appointment during the clinic time. If you show up outside of these times, you will not be vaccinated.
What you need to bring
· You need to bring different things depending on if you are registered or not.
· If you are attending for Dose 2, please bring your vaccination record card with you.
If you registered online
If you have already registered online, please bring photo ID that shows your date of birth.
Your photo ID can be your;
· Passport – book or card
· Driving license
· Public Services Card
· Travel pass
· National Age Card – issued by the Gardaí
· School or college card
If your ID does not have your date of birth on it, then also bring a copy of your birth cert or some other documentation that has your birth of date.
If you have not registered online
If you have not registered online – we can register you at the walk in clinic
You will need your:
· Personal Public Service (PPS) number – if you have one
· Eircode
· Mobile phone number
· Email address
· Photo id that has your date of birth – this can be a passport, driving license, Garda age card, school ID.
If you do not have a PPS number
If you do not have a PPS number, you can still get vaccinated. You will need to bring proof of address.
Your proof of address can be a:
· household bill in your name
· bank or financial institution statement
· letter from a public service department or agency
· rental agreement
· letter from the owner of the property to confirm you live there - this can be your parent
· bill or letter from a hotel or Airbnb
If you are aged 16 or 17 and have no photo ID
· If you are aged 16 or 17 and have no photo ID
· Bring your birth cert if you are aged 16 or 17 and have no photo ID.
· If you also have proof of your Personal Public Service (PPS) number, such as a child benefit letter containing your PPS number, this will be helpful for staff at the vaccination centre. But you do not need it to get vaccinated.
Register your child 12-15 for a COVID-19 vaccine
To register your child for a vaccine, we’ll need the following:
· Childs name and date of birth
· Parents mobile phone number
· Parents email address
· Childs PPS number
· Childs Eircode
Giving consent for your child 12-15.
A parent or legal guardian will need to give consent for their child to get their COVID-19 vaccine.
The child getting the vaccine will also be asked if they are happy to get the vaccine at their appointment.
The vaccinator will be able to answer questions you might have about the vaccine.
Adult needed at appointment
Children aged 12-15 will need to bring an adult to their appointment. Children attending alone will not be vaccinated.
Where possible, the child’s parent or legal guardian should attend the vaccination appointment with their child.
If the parent or legal guarding has given consent online in advance, it is possible for them to ask another adult to bring their child to the vaccination centre.
If consent has not been given, the parent or legal guardian has to be there.
