26 Kildare pharmacies are among 1,000 nationwide to begin administering Covid-19 vaccinations this week.
6 pharmacies are in Newbridge, 4 in Naas, another 3 in Celbridge, 2 in Kilcock, 2 in Maynooth, 2 in Kildare town, 2 in Monasterevin, 2 in Athy, 1 in Clane, Kilcullen & Kill, respectively.
Initially the single-shot Johnson and Johnson jab will be available to those aged over the age of 50.
In the coming weeks, the Pfizer vaccine will be available in pharmacies in close proximity to mass vaccination centres.
More than 1,000 pharmacies nationwide are taking part in the initiative.
