Doctors say over five thousand more hospital beds nationally are needed
Some 26 patients are on trolleys in Naas General Hospital, according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation trolley watch figures.
19 patients are on trolleys in the Emergency Department, while seven patients are on trolleys elsewhere in the hospital.
Meanwhile, Doctors say five to six thousand more hospital beds are needed just to get the health system back to the level it was at a decade ago.
The Irish Medical Organisation has released its pre-budget submission today, which calls for urgent and radical reform.
The Department of Health is already under fire for major cost overruns, however services are still facing huge pressures.
