CSO says the county's birth rate is higher than the state figure.
2,915 babies were born to Kildare mothers last year.
That's according to the Central Statistics Office Vital Statistics Yearbook.
The county's birthrate, of 12.3, is above the state rate for 2020, which was 11.2.
Kildare mothers were, on average, 31.5 years of age when their first baby was born, a couple of weeks older than the state average, of 31.4 years.
The number of births registered continues to fall, down over a quarter in the 10 years since 2010https://t.co/jS247RXnXf #CSOIreland #Ireland #VitalStatistics #VitalStats #Births #Deaths #Marriages #IrishBabiesNames #BoysNames #GirlsNames #BabyNames pic.twitter.com/dBorRhoLwm
