Its a decrease on over 4,100 earlier this year
3,291 people in Kildare are now on waiting lists for driving tests.
That's according to the latest data for the Road Safety Authority, and is a decrease from over 4,100 in the first quarter of the year.
4,999 people have taken their test there this year, and 548 tests are scheduled over the next 3 weeks
Kildare Fianna Fáil Senator, Fiona O’Loughlin says “The backlog in driving test for Kildare residents is continuing to cause disruption and affect many people’s ability to work, shop and socialise. With student accommodation proving so expensive and difficult to access this year, we need to ensure that students who need to commute can do so”
“At present 618 people have an invite which they can use to book their test, and its hugely important that people avail of their test as soon as they are eligible. We need to work with the RSA to ensure that the back log is cleared as soon as is practicable”
