The run itself was timed and started in Pairc Mhuire, headed to Sarsfield GAA and lopped back to end at the NFRC.
Refreshments will be served afterwards at the Newbridge Family Resource Centre.
Both the first male and female runners to cross the line will get their names engraved on the trophies.
