36 Irish citizens are awaiting evacuation from Afghanistan.
A Kildare TD is calling on the Irish Government to deploy the Curragh stationed Army Ranger Wing to Kabul Airport to aid in the evacuation of Irish citizens.

Independent Kildare South TD, Cathal Berry, is a medical doctor and former Deputy Commander of the elite Irish Army Ranger Wing, which is stationed at the Curragh.
He joined Clem Ryan on Friday's edition of Kildare Today.
Once again Irish citizens are currently stranded overseas with no autonomous means to extract them.
