A Second Traffic Count On The R407 To Take Place Before Year's End.

File image: Sallins By-Pass/Kildare County Council.

It will study the negative impact of the Sallins by-pass on Clane.

A second traffic count on routes negatively affected by the opening of the Sallins By-Pass is to be completed before the end of the year.

Volumes have increased, significantly, in Clane following the road's opening and the easing of Covid 19 restrictions.

A count was conducted in May, however, tight Covid 19 restrictions were in place at that time

Assessments are to be conducted on the R407 between Clane, Sallins and Kilcock.

Social Democrats Cllr., Aidan Farrelly, raised the matter at the Clane Maynooth Municipal District meeting

Cllr. Farrelly joined Eoin Beatty on Tuesday's edition of Kildare Today on his motions before the October meeting of the Clane Maynooth MD
